Steve O’Neill, LICSW, JD is the director of behavioral and mental health for OpenNotes and is associate faculty in the Center for Bioethics at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He started the first program to open up mental health therapy notes directly to patients at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and continues to work globally on advocating for greater transparency in patient care.
