Dr Chad M. Teven joins Ethics Talk to unravel some current and a few hoped-for surgical applications of AI and to model for us how we should be critically engaging with AI surgical research and scholarship.
Chad M. Teven, MD is a board-certified clinical assistant professor of plastic surgery at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. A fellowship-trained reconstructive microsurgeon, he completed a clinical ethics fellowship at the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago and is completing an MBA at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. His research interests include clinical and patient-reported outcomes after breast reconstruction and lymphedema surgery, surgical ethics, organizational and business ethics in health care, health economics, and innovation in health care.
