Richard L. Cupp Jr, JD is the John W. Wade Professor of Law at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law in Malibu, California. He writes and speaks extensively about the legal and moral status of animals, and his writings have been cited by appellate courts addressing assertions of legal personhood for animals. He received a JD from University of California Davis School of Law and a BA from Pepperdine University.
