John Timothy Kayiwa, MSc is a laboratory scientist-manager in the Department of Arbovirology, Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases at the Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI) in Entebbe. He previously worked on a 2006 influenza surveillance program and as part of the response to the 2007 Ebola and Marburg outbreaks in Uganda under the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-UVRI cooperative agreement. He completed a BSc degree in biomedical science from Luton University and an MSc degree in molecular biology from Staffordshire University.
