Bethany M. Erb is a medical student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health (UWSMPH), with a path of distinction in bioethics and research. She currently studies solid organ transplant-related medical crowdfunding in the UWSMPH Department of Surgery. She is a former Shapiro Scholar with a research emphasis on preoperative shared decision-making and a former chair of the UWSMPH Student Ethics Committee. She holds a degree in British and American literature and is an avid scuba diver and trekker.
