Matthew L. Edwards, MD is an assistant professor of psychiatry and an assistant training director of the General Psychiatry Residency Program in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, California, where he is also a faculty member of Stanford’s General Psychiatry Residency Program and Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship Program. In addition, he has coauthored mental health policy papers for the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors. His interests include civil and criminal issues in forensic psychiatry and trauma-focused mental health care for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
