Adriana Pero is a third-year medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. She helped start New York City Against Segregated Healthcare, a group bringing students and residents together from across New York City to advocate for desegregating care. She also advocates for more equitable hospital funding through reallocating New York State’s Indigent Care Pool.
